We are in for a real treat when Alan Heath will be in town especially to take us through his line-up of South Australian wines. Alan Heath literally was driven to drink, as a former racing car driver with 13 years behind the wheel and 60 victory notches on his belt he started a second passion, grape growing in the Adelaide Hills. Then, a major crash in his life set him on a new track. With his good friend, and winemaker, Nick Walker, he started to make Heath Wines, a reality. By 2002, the wines raced into International Markets around the world.

Alan will present seven of his wines, including; 2005 Lizard Flat Chardonnay/ Verdello, 2004 Southern Sisters Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, 2005 Southern Sisters Reserve Riesling, 2003 Southern Sisters Reserve Pinot Noir, 2002 Lizard Flat Cabernet Sauvignon /Merlot, 100 year old vine 2003 Shiraz and 100 year old vine 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Australian Wine Society of Toronto

The Australian Wine Society (AWS) of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the enjoyment of Australian wines. Through exposure to, and education about the wines and wine regions of Australia, the Society seeks to encourage a greater awareness of the wine varietals, the diversity and the styles of Aussie wines, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The opportunity to try a wide range of wines makes it easier for members to decide what types they might want to purchase through wine agents, the LCBO, Vintages monthly releases and the Classics Catalogue.
